Tips in Tipping

RESTAURANTS - Tipping rates around the world vary, but in the U.S. it is usually 15% to 20&$37; of the billo. The quality of the service and how much you enjoyed your dining experience should determine the amount of your tip.

CAFETERIA/BUFFET - 5% to 10% of the total bill, depending on how much is done by the wait-staff.


PIZZA DELIVERIES - $2 - $4 depending on the number of pizzas; more for large deliveries.

HEADWAITER/MAITRE D' - none, unless special services are provided, then, about $5.

WINE STEWARD - 15% of wine bill.

BARTENDER - 10% to 15% of bar bill.
