That's right can you believe it it's free... paint... free paint...

OK, now I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. But I also believe that you can get what others pay for.

Have you ever wondered where where all the unused gallons of paint go?

They go to the Tomoka Land Fill, where the paint recycling team separate the types, colors, and interior from exterior. They are really good at what they do as they have done it for years, and I personally have found that their advice is better than that at local paint stores.

When I was first told about this concept (10 years ago) I thought the person telling me was just trying to make me look silly. Then I saw it on a local PBS channel. I went to the dump and it was incredible, they give paint (5 gallons per person) free (for personal use). I have personally painted three apartments, and a trailer. I think this is the best program Volusia has sponsored.

On another note, the same people will dispose of oil & gas (in small quantities for personal use).
