Cell Phone Long Distance
Many phone companies offer long distance in their cell plan. However, did you know that you
can sometimes double your minutes by signing up for
local minutes, and use a pre-paid calling card.
Here is how it works. For $29.95 you get 180 anytime minutes, with local & long distance.
For the same $29.95 you can receive 180 anytime minutes, and 180 nights & weekend minutes.
Personally, I use my cell phone all the time. Don't you? OK, here is the math part. If
you have 180 minutes and you use it 1/3 of the time for long distance and the rest
local..
If you use their long distance it is $.17 + tax/minute, all the time. If you use a pre-
paid calling card it can be as low as $.10/minute + $.08/minute for the cell time, or
only $.10/minute if you use a home phone (not cell). OK now if you use the phone 1/3
of the time for long distance, that means for 60 minutes you will cost $.01 more per minute.
You can save $ 9.60+tax/month on your bill.
Keep in mind, this is with the cheap plan, if you subscribe to a higher minute plan, your
savings can be much higher. If you didn't want to save up-words of over $ 15+/month,
you probably would not be reading this article.
